It's never easy to get back on your feet after a defeat. The grief process can be used to cope with a variety of losses, including the death of or divorce from a loved one, the loss of a job, the relocation to a new location, the death of a friend, death of a much loved pet. Everyone has a difficult time dealing with these situations.
Perhaps you find it difficult to control your emotional roller coaster of thoughts and feelings? You need to talk about these things, and talk about them with someone who gets it. I am that someone. I don’t see grief as a problem to be solved. The truth is, there is no quick fix; your grief could ebb and flow but it is possible to integrate the grief into your daily life in a healthy way.
I help people work through grief and move forward with life after experiencing loss. I offer a safe, nonjudgmental approach so you can feel seen and heard.

Anxiety needs understanding—not control.
Here, your experience is met with calm, compassion, and respect—not pressure to “get over it” or think differently.
Through gentle hypnosis, we invite your nervous system to soften—helping you release tension, quiet racing thoughts, and rediscover a sense of steadiness within.
Together, we create a peaceful space where you can breathe more freely, feel supported, and begin to trust your inner calm again.

When sleep feels distant—when your mind won’t quiet and your body can’t fully relax—it’s easy to feel alone in the dark hours. You may wonder if deep rest is still possible, or if your system even remembers how.
You’re not alone in feeling exhausted, restless, or unsure of how to find your way back to ease.
This isn’t about forcing sleep or silencing your thoughts.
It’s about guiding your mind and body into a state of softness—where tension loosens, breathing slows, and rest begins to feel safe again.
Through gentle hypnosis, we create a calming space for your nervous system to unwind, so you can drift toward sleep naturally—one breath, one moment, one peaceful night at a time.

Do you find yourself reliving the day your spouse or partner died—over and over—like it’s happening all over again?
The phone call.
The accident.
The hospital.
The moment everything changed.
These kinds of intense memory “loops” are common after traumatic loss. As grief expert David Kessler teaches, the mind often returns to the hardest moments because some part of us is still trying to make sense of what happened. Your nervous system was overwhelmed that day, and those pathways can keep firing long after the event is over.
There is nothing “wrong” with you. Your brain is doing exactly what it learned to do under shock and terror.
How Gentle Hypnotherapy Can Help
Hypnotherapy offers a calm, non-invasive way to:
• Gently soothe the nervous system
• Shift old neuropaths so the memory doesn’t hijack your whole day
• Reduce the emotional intensity of the replay, without erasing your love or your story
• Help your mind feel safer in the present, instead of stuck in the past
In our work together, we move at your pace. You stay in control. The goal is not to “get over it,” but to help your body and mind no longer feel like they’re still living inside the worst day.
If you’re tired of these scenes playing on repeat and would like compassionate, trauma-informed support, I invite you to explore whether gentle hypnotherapy might be right for you.

My first experience with death and grief came in childhood when I lost a parent. Over the years, I have also lived through the deaths of my grandparents, my husband, and my stepfather.
With more than 30 years of experience, I have dedicated most of my career to supporting individuals as a life coach. Over time, my private practice expanded to include hypnosis and hypnotherapy for life challenges, behaviour and habit change, caregiver coaching, end-of-life support, and grief and bereavement coaching.
In addition to one-on-one work, I provide education and facilitate workshops and discussions that increase death literacy and raise awareness about dying, death, and the services available to support both individuals and families. My book Bold Spirit Caring for the Dying, co-authored with 10 carefully chosen end-of-life practitioners, offers insights into end-of-life transition. It brings together the voices of compassionate, skilled, and inspiring professionals in hospice, palliative care, thanatology, paramedic services, personal support work, education, and death doula care.
My volunteer work includes having been a community member on the board of a local long-term care residence with a day program focused on dementia and Alzheimer's.
